An onsite visit and design consultation set the scope, budget, and surface type – and let us assess the drainage conditions and site characteristics before anything else is decided.
Excavation, grading, and drainage design happen before anything goes on top. This phase sets the foundation – literally – for everything above it.
The sub-base is engineered to handle the freeze-thaw cycles and drainage loads specific to each region. A base built for Surrey’s rainfall looks different from one built for a Winnipeg winter or an Alberta chinook season.
Turf, court surfacing, or pour-in-place rubber surfacing is installed, along with fencing, lighting, or shelters where the project requires them.

Pour-in-place rubber surfacing is a seamless, poured rubber layer used mainly for playgrounds and accessible pathways. It meets CSA Z614 fall-height safety standards while staying wheelchair and stroller friendly. EPDM granule flooring is a related option that adds colour and texture.

Yes. We engineer base and drainage systems for regional winter conditions – allowing natural snowmelt and reducing the cracking or shifting that comes from water trapped under a surface. The engineering varies by region: a base designed for Vancouver’s rainfall is different from one designed for a Winnipeg winter.
Very little compared to natural grass. Our surfaces don’t need mowing, watering, or fertilizing. Typical maintenance is occasional debris clearing or a rinse, plus periodic infill top-up for high-use sports fields.
We build to FIFA, World Rugby, CFL, and NCAA specifications depending on the sport. Playground surfaces are designed to CSA Z614.

Most sports surface projects involve three or four separate trades: excavation, drainage, turf or court installation, and finishing work like fencing or lighting. When those trades are separate contractors, coordination gaps between them are where projects run late and problems get missed. We run all of it under one crew and one project timeline.

Freeze-thaw cycles are what actually break sports surfaces in Canada – not the turf itself. A base that traps water will heave, crack, and shift every winter regardless of what’s installed on top. We engineer sub-base and drainage systems specifically for regional freeze-thaw and snowmelt conditions, so fields and courts hold their shape through winter instead of needing re-leveling every spring.
